Hello loves,

Release date: Very soon…

Sample Sunday ~ I was umm… catching them.

I didn’t necessarily regret my decision to pack a bag, hop on a plane, and agree to give him at least a week in Los Angeles. I was simply cognizant, now that he wasn’t buried deep inside of me, that my decision wasn’t exactly rational when I made it. I enjoyed spending time with Truth, and maybe that was part of the problem. I was getting a little too comfortable. Our agreement didn’t say anything about feelings, and despite how hard I tried; I was umm… catching them. Caught. There was no process or loading. I was there, in my damn feelings. I liked Truth… a lot. And that shit was scary.

“I know you’re not still tripping off that bullshit blog?” He questioned, misinterpreting my silence.

And then there was that.

Truth was trending and although there was reference to him covering Mercy’s set, the focus of every article was about the mystery woman on his lap. Were we a couple? If so, how long had we been dating? Was I also in the industry? How had he kept our situation under wraps? Was I the same woman from previous publications? The list of inquiries went on, but the resounding question was, who was the woman who clearly captured Truth’s attention, and how was I able to monopolize his time?

And if that wasn’t bad enough there was a picture. Thankfully, a dark club filled to capacity wasn’t exactly conducive for sneaking a photo from a good distance away. It was my only saving grace. Well, that and the angle it was taken. The only face clearly visible in the foggy image was his, but there was no mistaking his hand wrapped around my neck, or the intimacy of that act with his face pressed against mine.

“No. I told you I was good.” It wasn’t a complete lie, but it damn sure wasn’t the truth and judging by the smirk on his face he knew it. I was just glad he had no idea what I was really thinking.
